Getting Started with PassRate

Basics

Welcome to PassRate. This guide walks you through setting up your account and getting your first pupil on the road.

1. Create Your Account

Head to the registration page and sign up. You will need an email address and a password. Once registered, you land on your dashboard — the control centre for your driving school.

2. Add Your First Pupil

Click Pupils in the sidebar, then New Pupil. Fill in their name, licence number, and any test dates they have booked. The more you fill in now, the more useful PassRate becomes later.

3. Set Your Availability

Go to Schedule and block out the hours you are available each day of the week. This creates the grid pupils (and you) use to book lessons. Click a slot to toggle it on or off.

4. Book a Lesson

Head to Lessons, click New Lesson, select a pupil, choose a time from your availability, and confirm. The lesson appears on your calendar immediately and the pupil gets an email reminder.

5. Explore the Competency Grid

Open a pupil and click Competencies. You will see the full DVSA framework. Click any skill to cycle through Not Assessed → Developing → Competent. This feeds into the readiness score.
